We've added more information to our web site about male breasts and cancer, because this is a major concern for us as well as the public. People make fun of the subject, but it's a serious problem we need to fix. The American Cancer Society has a great article explaining what male breast cancer is, and what factors affect risk.
Gynecomastia (or man boobs) isn't cancerous in itself, but just as women are more at risk for breast cancer because they have more breast tissue, men with more tissue are also at greater risk. These men may also have an estrogen imbalance which is causing the extra tissue or may be more obese, another risk factor for cancer.
Breast cancer is also more difficult to detect in men. They don't have routine breast exams and may not be aware of their risks.
The best and easiest way to get rid of this tissue is with non-invasive Smartlipo or Vaser lipo. They're not traditional forms of lipo, there's no sedation and no recovery time in these procedures. You can go back to work the next day (woohoo!) and get back to the gym in three.
With our special for three areas at 65% off, you can tackle those love handles or stomach pudge while you're at it.
