Weight loss is a common struggle encountered by many Americans to date. Although diet and exercise are sensible solutions, at times they are not enough for getting the shape we all want. Many have resulted to alternatives such as traditional liposuction, weight loss pills, or extreme dieting. However, with every alternative exists certain risks to our health. Recently, a new advance in weight loss alternatives has been made with the creation of a new laser liposuction technique called Zerona.
What is Zerona?
Zerona is a cold laser that works from the outside of the body to shrink fat cells. The Zerona procedure is completely non-invasive and carries no known medical risk. As a patient lies comfortably, the Zerona laser makes to what looks like a laser light show over the patient’s body. As the Zerona laser passes through the epidermis, it emulsifies, or liquefies, fat cells, which is then released into “interstitial space”. The liquefied fat is then released from the body through normal detoxification.
Studies for Zerona have shown that patients who undergo the recommended six treatments lost between three to nine inches around their hips, waist and thighs in two weeks. The Zerona laser also has been proven to be virtually pain free, leaving the patient without scarring, bruising, or the need for any type of body garment.
Zerona works to eliminate fat and contour the body on the : waist, hips, arms, neck, chest, thighs, buttocks, and arms.
The Zerona laser, recently FDA approved, is currently being offered at Escobedo Skin Center in Austin, TX by Dr. Michael Escobedo. “Zerona will fill in the niche for patients interested in liposuction, but do not like the idea of any type of invasive surgery,” says Dr. Escobedo. “With the new Zerona treatment, patients can have their entire body treated within a 40 minute session! What I like best about Zerona is areas that are not treated seem to lose fat such as the face, chin, and calves. For optimum benefits, I combine the Zerona laser treatment along with my new HCG diet and Ionithermie treatments.”
